VIEW is a Windows 95/98/NT based filter design software that can mak
e
life easier for everyone involved professionally in audio, from the
loudspeaker designer to the end user. VIEW marks the end of awkward
system tweaking with numerical displays. It is used to set up a
variety of equipment based on our DSP engine. First out are some
loudspeaker processors for the pro audio and high end markets (see
under hardware).
The full-blown software is called VIEW Pro, there is also a standard
version of VIEW which is shipped with the LAB.GRUPPEN DSP products.
VIEW can design "analog type" filters, such as
- Linkwitz-Riley high / low pass with slopes of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15,
18,
24, 27, 30, 36, 45, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96 dB/octave. Note that si
nce
the filters are not realized as digital implementations of analog
filters some new slopes are now possible!
- Butterworth high / low pass with slopes of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, &#
49;8, 24,
30, 36, 42, 48 dB/octave.
- Bessel(Thomson) high / low pass with slopes of 6, 12, 18, 24, 3
8;,
36, 42, 48 B/octave.
- Dual slope high / low pass with an initial slope of 12 and later 48
dB/octave.
- Parametric EQ.
- Graphic EQ with 1, 1/3, 1/6 and 1/12 octave resolution
. Both
constant Q(works as many analog graphic equalizers) and
interpolating – the curve always goes through the handles.
VIEW can modify filters with "digital type" tools, such as
Shelving with any slope
Drawing EQ
Smooth
Remove dips/peaks
Replace flank/interval
VIEW Pro
In addition to what VIEW has to offer VIEW Pro is the full blown
expert system that can import measurements from many different
systems. These measurements can be used to define what you have and/or
what you want the result to be and/or what the filter should do. The
most common use is to import measurements of the loudspeaker drivers,
edit these and save them in the database. When a setup is made you
simply select which drivers in the database you want to make the setup
for, this will generate a default filter with very accurate
compensation of the speaker. Together with the peak removal tool this
will help you get a good result for any speaker. With the other tools
you modify the filter as you like.
Copy, Paste, Invert, Add and Splice are some of the tools that are
only available in the Pro version. The price for VIEW Pro depends on
where you buy it so we can not give an exact figure here, please
contact us instead.
